We had another friendly tonight with Bedford Town coming to the Dog N Duck. I can,t give a full match report 2nite everyone as i was busy doing other things tonight, but after speaking with several people, who all said to me that we done extremely well.
Bedford Town were are very usefull side and i think we gained valuable experience playing a team 2 leagues higher.
I was delighted for the youngster Ben Johnson who opened the scoring for us. He is a very talented lad who works extremely hard the the team and i was pleased his hard worked payed off.
I thought from what i seen Nathon Walter had a belter of a game, so well done to him, and i also thought Adan Randall was superb.
I,m sure all the other lads done very well from the reports i got and the work rate is always first class from the lads.
I know it,s not very nice losing a game but i think there were so many positives which came out of the game, Rob will let the lads know what they need to work on and we will only become stronger from what they learn playing against a very well organised side in Bedford Town
Good turn out from the supporters as usuall. Well done to all of you for supporting the team.
Take care all.

A most encouraging encounter with a Bedford Town squad that looked well organised and certainly proved to be the fittest on the night.
What we have to take into consideration is the fact that our manager, having seen a first half of exciting and fast football, with the ball played on the ground, tried several other permutations with the remainder of the squad in the second period.
We are slowly building a squad who have worked extremely hard in training and pre-season matches, but don't let's get carried away with our expectations. We have a long way to go and much work to be done to give Rob and Nick the support off the pitch which will assist them to take the club forward.
Again we were delighted with the kind words from the visitors for the hospitality afforded them and we hope this match will be forerunner in future seasons.
Laurie.
