Great result for the reserves. We went behind early on, but soon equalised when victor Gonzales raced thru and sent the goal keeper the wrong way with a great drop of the shoulder, we scored the second when the "bronze Addonis" Jimmy partridge raced down the left win and crossed the ball in and with a great finish from their centre half we made it 2-1.
Tom randall with a great strike from 20 yards rounded off the scoring for an excellent victory. Think the score line should have been more, but as long as we creat the chances we will soon put the chances away.
What i like abouth the reserves is a combination of youth and experience which make a great balance.
Huge amount of talent in reserves and very well done to them all for all their hard work and effort in 2days game

If I have read both reports correctly then I am somewhat disappointed. On numerous previous posts the whole idea of friendlies is took look at the team(s) and assess a no of things including players. So as a player who turns up as a squad member with a view to playing and then maybe doesn't that can't bode well for season.I'm just referring to how Victor can play for both reserves and 1st team.If it was due to player shortage then fine, over someone else then I don't wish to be reading posts later on in season why a player has left the club and questions get a reply "well we don't know".The opportunities are there with friendlies to allow everyone to play.

martin, for the team to get so many players to travel for a double header was an achievment in itself especially at end of july, this is the period when everyone is taking their summer holidays so they are all available for when the season starts.but no no one was left out so a player could play in both matches , it was purely spreading the players out so individuals all got some well needed match time

Thanks Anton for clearing that up.What it does is reinforces the desire amongst the players at the club to want to be there and play for the 11 places available week by week.Plus as a "day out" Leicester is not so bad. Bye for now Me

realy good afternoon out,god workout for the lads and 2 good results. And at the end of the reserves match the bench (literally, a bench) consisted of Laurie, Barrie S, Mr Chairmam Martin and Mr Sec, Mick.Non of them got on though,I think they all forgot their boots. And I notice our roving reporter failed to mention the St Andrews fan's puppy (face like a bag of nails-the puppy, not the fan). Lots of people petted the dog. Umfortunately the only person it had a go at was that very reporter, Haydn. The dog refused to give a reason!

Sorry, that should read"good workout".Although with a club called St Andrews you can never be sure but the gods didn't side with them yesterday.

Maybe he was looking at a reflection ;D ;D ;D
