Lets hope that the Legend that is Tom Watson can go onto win the open. Its a great achievement from him to be leading after the third round, and to be honest his golf has been brilliant.
A lot can happen during the last round, even though watson,s won nearly everything in golf this would for me be his best win ever as he is in his late 50.s
Good luck to him this afternoon

Hello Haydn. Golf? Is that not the game where it is often referred to as a "Good walk spoilt?" Excuse my sarcasm my old mate but to each his own and I'm afraid golf does not appeal to me. I can even "suffer" rugby on the TV at odd times, but golf? Yuk !!!!

I can't hit the thing!
No matter how hard I've tried, I don't have the co-ordination so I would say golf isn't high on my sporting list.
Now, let's talk marbles...... but good luck Tom!

Sorry Haydn, I played golf three or four times a week a few years ago, but I can't share your enthusiasm for Tom Watson winning the open. What about our man, Lee Westwood?
Watson's won it 5 times previously and is already a multi-millionaire. I know he's 59 years old and is 60 within 10 weeks because every presenter on the 'Beeb' told us so about 50 times this afternoon. So what. He should have retired by now and given the youngsters a chance.
Laurie.

Look,s like he,s blown it anyway Laurie. Still think at 59 as you say Laurie, its a fantastic effort from him.
Maybe i have a soft spot for the oldies!!!!!

So do you think Haydn that 59 year old people are well and truly past it?
Ask Laurie!!

No not at all bill, I still think that at 59 Watson,s effort was amazing. I thought he should have won the tournement in the end. I think he just ran out of steam.
You don,t get many sportspeople in any sport at the age of 59 in with a chance of winning their sports top events.
i Know how old Laurie is Bill, but he hasn,t just played in the open though as he.
